 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
      Gordon young add value initial it is a company formed in 2010 Jan by five people who had a wealth of experience in baking industry ,right from bakery set up, production management auditing purchasing and supplies of baking equipments and training.
       It was established as an emergency company, as an intervention to both consumer and producers as a way of protecting both the producer and consumer from unhealthy products and unhealthy competition and sub-standard products in the market and it was dully registered under the ministry of trade and industrialization.
       Objectives of add value initials is consistency in quality for sustainability in market, through new ideas and staff trainings, goal of add value initials is to restore confidence on investors  through simple cost reduction methods of production.
        Add value initial has a five member board who`s experience and knowledge in wheat industry has been a success.
Introduction 
       According to the world authoritative health organization suggest that life expectancy has reduced from 71 years to 45 years reason being use of outdated ingredients and recipes that has been found to promote some diseases.
       Aligning this in this information to our situation in Kenya still close to 75% of industries use outdated recipes to maximize profit and forget healthy issues. It`s against this back ground that the bureau of standards has put up a stun measure to eliminate such products in the market.
        It is their for against this back ground that add value initial was founded  in 2009 and registered in Jan 2010 as an emergency program to help food companies/bakeries from going concern as a result of inflation and protection of infant industries from unhealthy competitors’.
 problem statement.
          Situation here is worse and more so in bread pastry and confectionary production industries. As most companies are producing  due to larger availability of market in Kenya for instant small companies sell their products same prize with the once established leading to products being returned to the production premises this leads to lose in terms of brand name in the market as the returned brand are now sold to the streets at a throw away prize, another loss is experienced workers are forced to leave the company as a result of returns / damages reductions.
          Food for thought should be how my /our products should be sustained in the market.
Aims of add value initial.
Ø  Shall strive to improve on quality.
Ø  Shall strive to inform clients on new methodology of production.
Ø  Shall strive to protect infant industries through sustainable quality consistency,
Ø  Shall train and even manage for a while where need be.
Ø  Shall strive to eliminate damages/returns.
Ø  Shall train on stock taking/auditing and introduce cash flow monitoring tools.
Lessons learnt
        While implementing food related activities a lot of research ought to be done, reason being they are perishable and health issues should be put first.
Another concern is trainings of stake holders should be a priority as junior staffs need to be motivated through trainings as a slight mistake can cause the whole company to incur huge loss, and even the company can be closed by the government.

Ø  Sales and marketing representatives will be interviewed on sales increase or reductions and customer’s views will be heard through market representatives.
Ø  Yield improvement will be noticed as best practices will be put in place through laid down procedures.
Ø  Cost will be reduced especially on polypacks as there will be no returns and less time will be taken handling damages as damages will have reduced by a great margin.
Ø  Staff attitude towards work will have charged as less time will be spent on supervision, this will eliminate some supervisors as there will be no close supervision.

Gordon young addvalue initial co. started way back in 2009 and was dully registered on January 2010. Its offices are located along Mombasa road Nairobi Kenya on Vision Plaza 2nd Floor.

It is run by a well organized management board of five members which is headed by a chairman who happens to be the sole director of the company.

Gordon young add value initial company was formed as an emergency centre to both the wheat products companies and their customers as a counter measure in protecting the customers from substandard products due to economic recession which affected almost the whole world, leading to high cost of operations overhead cost.

The core objective customers protection against substandard goods and services and the company efficiently and effectively resource allocation to planned activities to achieve set goals and objectives maximally.

Add value mission is consistency improvement and updating our client on new modalities of business sustainability and containing market pressure by unhealthy competitors, grand vision is to be a leading business organization where clients call in for services at a friendly cost.

INTRODUCTION
Gordon young add value initial co. was formed as a business entity with a core objective of making profit through rendering services and thus registered through the Ministry of Trade and Industrialization.

The idea of Gordon young add value initial co was born after personally saw how both the manufacturers and the customers were straining to avoid going concern and thus producing bad quality to customers as a result of poor management policy due to lack of experience. Having in possession of the required both academics and experience and having been denied opportunity to show my prowess on that field I registered on Jan 2011 as a platform to prove that I was worth.

The idea is a challenge to the government and the clients as individuals have great ideas that if given chance to implement it can create jobs and taxes to the government, the idea is great to both the client as it protects the production overhead cost through effective and efficient resource utilization and customer friendly through standards quality.

Gordonyoung addvalue initial co. idea it relates much to place where we were residing as most of us felt that the goods/ products reaching us were sub- standard and when we did a research we found out it was affecting the whole Nation, we were three where we had idea of negotiating a company but two left for further studies in Europe.

BACKGROUND (SITUATION ANALYSIS)
As a result of economic recession (hardship) both the production units (company) and the customers really suffered a lot as the company’s were really struggling not to go concern this producing sub standard products to minimize over head cost of production leading to dumping of sub-standard products to customers for example effective management of quality and reduction of damages introduction of cash flows and running production stock taking and auditing etc.

Our objectives therefore were:-
